Please be aware that beginning Monday, April 5, 2021, the City of Soledad will begin work on a Roundabout at the intersection of Metz Road, East Street, North Street, and Andalucia Drive. Traffic will be confined to a single lane and at times, the intersection may be closed altogether. This construction will be most impactful on Gabilan School, San Vicente School, and the District Office. It may also impact Main Street Middle School and Jack Franscioni Elementary School. This will continue through June 25, 2021. We will keep you updated on any further details as they become available.

On March 30, 2021, the Soledad Unified Governing Board and the Soledad City Council Members held their first joint meeting of the year. Among the topics discussed were:

• Teacher-Staff Housing
• City-Wide Internet Access
• Shared Use of Facilities

The City of Soledad and Soledad USD will be working together and combining their resources to benefit our staff, parents, students, and entire community of Soledad. We are very exciting with this partnership. Great things are Happening in Soledad!

Under the direction of Ms. Alyze Rabideau, our students participated in virtual Zoom concert. It is amazing how music inspires and continues, even in a virtual setting. Thank you to Ms. Rabideau for your passion and dedication to your students. Thank you to Youth Music Monterey for making this happen for our students!

On Thursday, March 25th, school district representatives toured the new Hartnell College Campus - Soledad Education Center on Metz Road. We look forward to our Soledad High School students taking college classes at the Soledad Campus, soon. Another beautiful education center in Soledad!
