BHS Sophomore Alyssa Thomas created this profile on the BHS AP Courses with Mrs. Hahn and Mrs. James. She created the video using a digital camera, tripod, and Adobe Premiere software for editing. Thomas has been in Ms. Moody’s Multimedia class this year, learning how to create and edit a variety of videos, such as commercials, movie trailers, student spotlights, and promotional videos. Way to go, Alyssa!

Dear Pirate Families,

This week we wrapped up student course selection for next year. Our school counselors do a great job of helping to prepare our students for their next path in life. We want to ensure students are selecting the right coursework to ensure they are prepared when they leave the walls of BHS. This takes a tremendous amount of time to offer personalized service to each student. If you have questions about your student's courses for next year, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our school counselors.

BHS and BTEC offer a wide variety of course offerings to ensure our students are both college and career ready. Please chat with your student about their interests so we can best align their coursework.

Wednesday, March 8, and Tuesday, April 11, 2023, will be PD Days in Boonville Schools.

Boonville Schools will not be in session for students. Staff will be engaged in Professional Development meetings and classroom work.

All spring sports will start practice on Monday, February 27. This includes baseball, track and field, boys golf, boys tennis, and girls soccer. Please make sure your student-athlete has a physical on file if they are participating in a spring sport. Not sure? Please contact Mrs. Heather Duncan in the BHS Athletics Office.

Many BHS students enroll in Health and Personal Finance classes during summer school as a way to earn a 1/2 credit in health (required of all Missouri students for graduation) and free up time during their fall and winter schedules.

Other students may need credit recovery, which is also available for summer school students.

BHS Summer School Schedule: May 30- June 12, from 7:55 AM- 3:00 PM daily. Enrollment begins on March 6 at 7 AM and ends on April 3.
