ATTENTION ALL RISING 9TH GRADE PARENTS
Each Newton County high school will host a special in-person informational for parents of current 8th-grade students who will be transitioning to high school. Parents will go to the high school their current 8th grader is zoned to attend. At the meeting, parents will hear from the high school leader, learn more about ninth grade courses, and receive instructions on how to choose electives for the 2023-2024 school year. The free informational meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 6:30 PM.
In addition to attending this meeting, it would be very helpful if parents created a parent portal account through Infinite Campus if they haven't already done so. This will allow parents to stay involved in the student's process of making decisions about high school courses and pathways. Also, please use the Rising 9th grade Canvas page for important dates, course information and contacting counselors. If you have not created an account, simply click on the link to the document below and follow the directions.
