Note from the DRE
Happy May!
We pray this newsletter finds you in good health! As you read this, note this is the last biweekly newsletter for the school year. We will continue the newsletter once a month for June, July, and August, and resume biweekly newsletters in September. Please continue to check our facebook page and instagram for information about registration for the 2023-2024 school year!
We will continue to have Children’s Church each Sunday at 10am, and we hope to see you at Vacation Bible School on June 19th-June 22nd.
Sunday, May 28th is the Feast of Pentecost! Click HERE to download your color sheet or use the coloring page to make a headband for Mass. I encourage your child to wear their headband to church.
Once again, thank you for all your support of our SEAS Faith Formation program. Continue to pray for us as we continue to pray for you!
God Bless,
Mrs. Driskill

The Good Shepherd Atrium
On our last day in the atrium, we celebrated the Feast of the Holy Spirit or Pentecost. First Level heard the account of what happened from the Acts of the Apostles 2:1-4. The Second and Third Level children pondered and meditated on the wonderful gifts of the Holy Spirit.
The below parent page gives you ideas on how to celebrate Pentecost at home as a family.
Elementary Faith Formation
Congratulations to all our Elementary First Communion students! 52 students received the Holy Eucharist for the first time this past weekend and 56 will make their First Communion this weekend. The students spent the entire year learning about what we believe as Catholics and why the Eucharist is such a special gift. Please pray that they may experience the true presence of Christ as they receive this most holy Sacrament.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst." John 6:35
Life Teen and Edge
Thank you so much for the wonderful year. Although Life Teen and EDGE classes have ended, I will be starting a Bible Study/Mass Prep group that will meet on Sundays at 6:15pm. All middle and high schoolers are invited. The group will look at the Sunday readings and then discuss what they mean, how they can relate to our lives, and answer questions about the readings.
This Mass Prep will also be helpful for any of the teens that go to 7pm mass because they can better understand the readings before going. We will start this Sunday, May 21, in the faith formation building. I hope to see your teen there. If you have any questions or need anything, please let me know.
Info for 8th graders and high schoolers- I have 1 extra spot (possibly 2 extra) that still needis to be filled for our trip to Life Teens Camp Covecrest. It will be from July 8-16 in Tiger, Georgia. There will be a ton of fun activities (obstacle course, white water rafting, low/high ropes course), talks, and prayer opportunities. If your teen is interested please let me know and I can give more information on pricing as well as answer any questions.
Confirmation
As we get closer to the celebration of Pentecost, please continue to pray for our newly confirmed teens.
Holy Spirit, strengthen our students with your gifts of
Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety,
and Fear of the Lord. Grant that they may grow into the fullness of the stature of Christ. Fill them with the joy of your presence. Increase in them the fruit of your Spirit. Help them to experience and trust your dwelling within, so that them can count on your guidance today and every day. Show us the way to help one another become better disciples of Jesus Christ, sharing your love with our world and with each person we meet. Come, Holy Spirit! Come!
Join us on Sundays at 10:00am in the FFYC.
