With the beginning of the school year behind us, often times questions arise around academic and career planning for the future. A great resource that can be helpful is our Guidance Department Website. You can find everything from scheduling information to college and career tools.

The first PTO meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday September 28th in the Lecture Hall beginning at 7:00 PM. Information regarding The College Application Process will be presented by our guidance department. All are welcome!

Parent-Teachers Conferences will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 by appointment from 3:00 - 6:30 PM. In-person and virtual appointments are available.

Contact your student’s teacher directly to schedule a conference appointment.

All students are welcome to attend visits with College Admission Representatives this fall at Coffman. The visits are for about 40 minutes and are held in the guidance office. Students may register at: https://app.schoolinks.com/dashboard/student/school-events

Student Photos were distributed in classes last week. Picture retake/make-up day for students and staff is Friday, September 30th during 5th period in the PAC lobby. For retakes, return the entire photo package to the photographer. Contact Jeri Richards in the main office with any questions.

National Honor Society applications are due on Wednesday, October 19th by 3:00 PM for any eligible junior or senior. Important Updates September 2022

The Columbus Suburban College Fair is coming soon! This event is happening on Sunday, October 9th, from 1-3:30 at Otterbein University. This provides students and families with the opportunity to explore a variety of colleges and speak directly with admissions representatives from all over the country. Each college has a separate table where information is displayed and a representative is available to answer your questions. Over 100 colleges will be arranged alphabetically in the Clements Recreation Center on Otterbein's campus. Please have your child pre-register using this link and check out the attached flyer for more information about the event.

2022 Columbus Suburban College Fair Flyer

The PSAT will be administered to all JUNIORS and pre-registered 9th & 10th grade students on Wednesday, October 12th. This is not a Working Wednesday and will be a regular school day bell schedule for all students.

AP Exam Registration

AP Exam Registration will take place starting Thursday, September 15th through Friday, October 15th, 2022. Registration and payment will be completed ONLINE ONLY using the District's PaySchools Central and fees are now $98 per test. 2021-2022 Yearbook pick up will begin next week. Distribution will take place during lunch and at the front desk. Watch for upcoming announcements.

Twilight School is an after-school program staffed by Coffman teachers that provides students with homework help. It will take place every Wednesday in the DCHS library from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm. Students do not need to remain at Twilight School the entire time and will have the freedom to leave early if needed. Transportation will be provided at 4:45 pm. No Working Wednesday on Oct. 12

Our high schools will operate on their normal schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 12 and not on the Working Wednesday schedule. This is because juniors will be administered the PSAT on that day.
