Vikan Knights, ARMOR Up!

Dear Community,

We are incredibly excited to CELEBRATE the more than 300 Knights who have received a Positive Office Referral on December 22nd! As a reminder, students receive a Positive Office Referral from their teachers for living up to our values of ARMOR. These students then receive the following benefits:

Entry in weekly raffles where they can win a $5, $10 or $15 gift cards (donations accepted)
Invitation to our quarterly celebration for a special feast
Names read in the daily announcements
Students receive a copy of their Positive Office Referral (with a special gift) to take home
In-classroom celebration

Another we are celebrating our Knights is with our Winter Ball Dance on December 8th. We are super excited to CELEBRATE our Knights for everything they are doing to end semester one on a great note!

Winter Ball Dance

Friday, Dec. 8th, 5:00 - 6:30 pm is the first school dance, the "Winter Ball." Students may purchase a dance ticket for $1.00. Concessions stands and photo booth will be available for students.

Student Eligibility:

1. Students who have not been suspended outside of school in the 2nd quarter.

2. Students must be here the entire day of the dance.

Dance Expectations:

1. Appropriate attire

2. All school rules apply

3. No public displays of affection.

4. Once you leave the dance students may not return and must leave school property.

5. No backpacks or bags etc.

6. No outside food or drinks

7. No personal water bottles

If any expectations are broken, phone call to parents will be made to pick you their student. Further consequences may be applied and student will not be allowed at the next dance.

🏀Girls Basketball and Wrestling

Attention all 7th and 8th grade Girls interested in playing Basketball this year and 6th/7th/8th Grade Boys and Girls interested in Wrestling this year! There will be an informational parent meeting on Tuesday, December 19th at 5:00pm in the cafeteria. Please have at least one parent attend this meeting with you, if you are interested in playing basketball or wrestling this year.

Cold Weather

Cold weather is here and we would like to remind you to not drop your students off before 8:15 am as there is no supervision at before then.. This is especially important because we do not bring student in unless the temperature is below 20 degrees. Also please remind your student to bring a coat/jacket with them. Blankets are not allow at school.

Health Clinic

Parents if you have received a phone call from the school health clinic that your child is not feeling well and needs to be picked up, please pick up your child in a timely manner. We do not have the space and capacity to keep your child in the health office for more than 30 minutes.

If you are unable to pick up your child please send someone you trust and inform the school who will be picking them up. The person you designate to pick up your child must provide a valid ID.
