Hewitt-Trussville Football (5-1 overall; 3-0 7A Region 3) will take on the Thompson Warriors (4-1 overall; 3-0 7A Region 3) on Friday October 6th.

Friday's game will mark the 16th game between the two teams. Thompson leads the series 9-6-.

Hewitt-Trussville Swimming traveled the Birmingham Crossplex on Tuesday to compete in the Hoover/Spain Park Fall Invitational. The HT Boys finished in 6th place at the event.

The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Flag Football team will be at home on Thursday night as they host Center Point in the final regular season Area game. The Huskies need a win to clinch the Area title.

The game is set to kickoff at 6pm.

The HT 9th Grade Football team moved to 5-0 this week with a 34-14 win over Huffman. Harrison Malone ran for 41 yards on eight carries and a touchdown. He also caught two passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. Jake Lowery was 9 of 11 passing for 202 yards and three touchdowns.

The 9th grade and JV teams will travel to Thompson next Monday to face the Warriors.

Hewitt-Trussville Volleyball will travel to Springville Thursday night as they compete in a tri-match with Springville and Albertville.

The Huskies will be at home next week for a pair of games to close out the regular season. HT will compete in the 7A Area 6 Tournament on October 19.

Both HTMS Football teams remained undefeated last week with huge wins over Liberty Park. The 7th Grade Huskies won 62-8. Jack Floyd had 110 yards rushing and 70 yards passing and scored two times.Daniel Williams had 11 carries for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Judah Weber and Eli Eason combined for 10 tackles and five tackles for loss to lead the Huskies defense.

The 8th Grade Huskies won 36-0. CJ Davis had 173 yards on 12 carries and scored two times to lead the Huskies offense. Tyler Wilson had 120 yards on four carries. Antonio Wynn led the HT defense with six tackles and four assists. Deonta Pickett had three tackles, one assist and one tackle for loss.

The Huskies will travel to Clay-Chalkville on Thursday night. The 7th Grade game will begin at 5pm and the 8th Grade game will begin at approximately 6:45pm.
