Community Forum
Through quality education our students will achieve personal success
The Telluride School District will support all students in striving for their highest potential through quality academics while addressing individual needs within a safe and healthy community.
Dear TSD Families and Community,
This past fall the TSD community began discussions as we became aware that students had experienced incidents of racism, anti-Semitism, and homophobia. As part of ongoing efforts to make every student in our community feel welcome and included, we began the work of creating an anti-hate/inclusion statement for TSD. Next week, as part of this work, Selena Sermano, an educational psychologist who has worked with our schools in the past, will be working with staff, students, and the community to gain input and language to start to draft a statement that will eventually be adopted by the board. She will be in our schools on March 14th and 15th, following a schedule that will be multiple opportunities for staff and students to provide input.
In addition, we will have a community forum for parents and community members who are interested in attending. It will take place at 5:00 pm in the Telluride Middle/High School Library on Tuesday, March 14. Please feel free to join that discussion.
