Prosper ISD School Closure Update
We have been hoping that we would be able to reopen our doors to our students April 6th, but that is not our current reality as we continue to deal with Covid-19. The Prosper ISD school closure, along with all Texas school districts, will be extended through Friday, May 1, 2020.
This will no doubt fuel a variety of questions surrounding any of the end-of-year events (ie. prom, graduation, field day, the upcoming bad weather day, etc.). The best answer that we can give at this time is that we will hold off cancelling any events scheduled in May until absolutely necessary. An event like prom that involves securing dresses, tuxedos, and the like will force our decision sooner rather than later. As I have mentioned numerous times before - this stinks! Thankfully, we have an amazing staff that is prepared to continue learning for your child. We also recognize that this closure possibly adds to your stress as a parent, but we will work to do everything that we can to minimize that on your end.
As mentioned before, WE will get through this as a community. Please don't forget to access our Covid-19 webpage (www.prosper-isd.net/pisdcovid19) for any guidance you need or questions you might have during this time.
