Happy New Year, Tigers!

I'm sure many of us can agree that we are grateful and excited to close the door on 2020 and enter into a brand new year! While the winter holidays and break may not have been filled with the typical traditions of years past, we hope you and your families were able to spend restful time together.


We know that as COVID-19 continues to spread, you or your loved ones may have felt or be feeling the direct impacts of the virus. If there are any ways that we can support you and your family, please do not hesitate to let us know.


We also want to recognize the challenges that have come not only because of a global pandemic, but because of escalating tension in our country. As a staff, we commit to lead our students through hard moments and demonstrate leadership through love, critical thinking and non-violence.


As we enter into the new year, we look forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside your children. Our hope is to find more moments of deep connection and below there is information about a few ways we can come together to connect and learn more from each other.

Join us for a Parent and Family Circle

Monday January 25th 5-6PM


We are inviting all LGAE parents and guardians to join us for a discussion on what distance learning has been like for you as a parent. We want to hear your voice!


What is a parent and family circle?


It is a space for us to come together in community to speak, be heard and listen. Unlike your typical parent-coffees, the majority of the dialogue will come from you.

Our parent circles are designed to be a space for you to connect with others and share as much or as little as you are comfortable.


Our circle will be facilitated by our Parent and Family Engagement Specialist, Azucena Garcia.

Free Meal Distribution!

Free meals are still being distributed every day outside of Alvarez Auditorium on School Lane for children under 18. Children do not need to be present during pick-up
