Dimond High School cordially invites Mears' 8th graders and their families to the Dimond Freshmen Fair. This occurs on Tuesday, February 28th from 6-7:30 PM at Dimond High School. During this exciting event, students will be able hear from all of the department chairs and many other staff about the exciting curricular and extracurricular offerings at Dimond High.

Students will not be able to enter any requests until the window opens March 6th. DHS counselors will be at Mears March 7th to do presentations and course selection.

The Anchorage School District's Fine Arts Department is proud to present the 51st annual student art show, in celebration of National Youth Art Month. Student work will be on display around our community March 3 - April 7, 2023. The opening reception will take place at the Anchorage Museum on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 6:00-9:00pm. Admission is complimentary to the public.

Special thank you to our motivational speaker Mr. Lonnie Ridegway who shared his personal story of overcoming adversity. Lonnie was engaging, funny, authentic and inspirational while he taught students the importance of goal setting. Lonnie's presentation included information about ACES or Adverse Childhood Experiences and how childhood trauma can impact your life.
