Principal's Message
Hello Springwater Students and Families,
Quad 3 has wrapped up and we are preparing for the transition to our hybrid schedule which starts on Monday, April 19th. Program confirmations and daily schedules have been emailed to all students and families. If you have not received this information, please reach out to the school ASAP. Below are some important reminders and updates to make sure everyone is ready to go on Monday:
- Advisory class begins at 8:45pm starting on Monday, April 19th. This is a change from the previous distance learning schedule.
- See below for schedules for cohort A, cohort B, and students remaining in distance learning.
- Bus information: First Student is working hard to finalize all bus routes. Once the information is finalized, we will contact you and the route information will be posted in ParentVue. We will send out an auto-caller/email and follow up with calls to confirm all families have the correct information. Thank you for your patience!
- A backpack to carry personal belongings (lockers will not be used this spring)
- Your charged chromebook (or personal laptop)
- Scratch paper, pencil, pens
- Any required class materials that were distributed at supply pick-up (your teacher will let you know what to bring to school)
- A water bottle (filling stations will be available but drinking fountains have been turned off). The school can provide a water bottle to any student who needs one.
Need help with some of these supplies? Please reach out to us and we will make sure you are ready to go!
Staffing Update:
- Ms. Kruse and Ms. Lekakh have taken leaves for the remainder of the school year. They have been working closely with their subs to ensure a smooth transition.
- We have Ms. Harrop who will be filling in for Ms. Kruse's art and creative writing classes.
- We have Ms. Snodgrass filling in for Ms. Lekakh's math and science classes.
We are here to answer your questions and provide support as we transition to a hybrid schedule. Thank you in advance for your patience as we (and the district) navigate this new frontier.
Stay safe and take care,
Ryan Blaszak

COVID-19 Testing Consent Form
We are excited to be transitioning to a hybrid instructional model next week! Safety continues to be at the forefront of our minds as we transition to in-person learning. Below is an optional service for students who will be coming into the building during hybrid.
Students who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms while at school will have access to a COVID-19 test.
Following are some important details to know about the COVID-19 test:
The test is VOLUNTARY. Students must have a “COVID-19 Testing Consent Form” on-file before a test can be administered to a student. The form must be fully completed and signed by a parent or guardian.
Testing is intended for students who are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
COVID-19 symptoms include fever of 100.4° F or higher, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing and new loss of taste or loss of smell.
Students are required to administer their own test by swabbing their own nose. A testing administrator will oversee the process and provide verbal instructions to the student.
Testing will be conducted in the school’s Care Room or a private space.
Students who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms on-site and are tested (whether positive or negative result) will be sent home. Further instructions will be provided at that time.
Students who develop COVID-19 symptoms while not at school may not get tested at the school. Testing is only available for students who are already on-site and are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
Please use this information to decide what is best for your student, and complete the consent form below if desired. If you have more questions, contact our office at 503-261-4600.
