Loveland Tiger Community,

Thank you to everyone who attended our first Town Hall Meeting of the school year on Wednesday night at Loveland Middle School. It was great to have people engage in conversation with their friends and neighbors. I appreciate everyone who took the time to get involved with Loveland City Schools.

People spent about an hour in small group discussions. It was an opportunity for open-ended conversations about academic achievement, career exploration opportunities, finances, and facilities. It was interesting to hear different people share their thoughts and perspectives.

You can RSVP to our next Town Hall Meeting by visiting our website at http://www.lovelandschools.org/engage. The meeting is on Wednesday, November 8, at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria at Loveland High School. If you can’t attend, you can also fill out a district-wide survey on our website - it should only take a few minutes. Hundreds of people have already completed the survey.

Our community engagement effort is about listening to our Loveland City Schools community. It’s not about asking for more resources or spending more money - it’s about making sure we are focusing our resources in the areas important to the parents, students, and community we serve.

If you have questions, send me an email at broadwmi@lovelandschools.org.

Go Tigers!

Five-Star Report Card Five-Star Report Card

Loveland City School District once again received a Five-Star Overall Rating on the 2023 Ohio School Report Card! Loveland is one of only 11 public school districts in the Cincinnati area to achieve this ranking.

The Ohio School Report Card measures five components: Achievement, Progress, Gap Closing, Graduation, and Early Literacy. Last year, we had a perfect report card with five stars in every category - this year, we just barely missed repeating that. With five stars in every category except one, Loveland’s component ratings place the district in the top 6.6% of Ohio’s public school districts. You can get more information on our website by following this link.

Thank you to our students and their families. Loveland is a high-achieving district because of the hard work of our students and the support they receive at home. Thank you also to our Loveland staff for supporting student success. Thank you also to our community for continuing to support Loveland City Schools!

The Pink Game has become a tradition for our Loveland High School Football team. Last month, when Loveland took on Kings, the two schools held a joint fundraiser to support cancer survivors and those affected by cancer. The fundraiser brought in about $15,000 for Pink Ribbon Good, an Ohio-based nonprofit that assists women during their cancer treatment. School districts across the area host similar events, but the Loveland-Kings Pink Game is the biggest of the year for Pink Ribbon Good. Thank you to our community for supporting this great tradition!

Property Tax Questions? Property Tax Questions?

Property values in our area are changing as County Auditors conduct the reappraisal process. Loveland City School District will see only a slight increase in revenue when property values rise. The cost of the May 2023 Loveland City School District levy will not increase if your home value increases. You can learn more about the impact of property value changes at www.lovelandschools.org/taxes.

Former WLWT Sports Reporter Brandon Saho shared his story of tackling mental health challenges and breaking the stigma around asking for help during an assembly at Loveland Middle School. Thank you to our LMS Hope Squad members for leading the conversation with great questions.
