Great day to be an Eagle! Congratulations to Edgar Rodriguez and Angel Sánchez for running an awesome race! Ángel Sánchez is this year's 4A state champ!!!!!!!! Thank you all for all the support this season. Coach Reopelle and I are very proud of all our runners and couldn't have asked for a better season!

Coach Young and the senior Yellowjackets celebrate a win on the last game of the season on senior night. These seniors led Arlington Heights to a 9 -1 regular season record this year. Congratulations to the seniors who have put Heights football on the map this season.

The conditions at Farrington Field caused a delayed start on what should have been Senior Night on October 28th. It was rainy, windy, and cold- but that didn't stop the Steers from defeating Southwest! Great job Steers!
Senior Night was rescheduled to Thursday, November 3rd, against Arlington Heights. Thanks for an awesome season, Steers! Shoutout to all coaches and players for this incredible season!

The Lady Steers defeated South Hills on Friday, October 28th. This win helped secure the 3rd place position in district play! This win earned the fifth consecutive playoff appearance! Go Lady Steers! On Tuesday, the Lady Steers played against Aledo at Castleberry High School. Thanks for a great season, ladies!
This season's highlights…
- Eleven Program sweeps over Castleberry, Eastern Hills, Diamond-Hill, Dunbar, Western Hills, Poly, OD Wyatt, South Hills, and Southwest.
- Placing Second in the Poolville Tournament, for the second year in a row!
- Winning First Place in the Dallas Molina Tournament, for the second year in a row!
- Having won games against district leaders, Everman, and Heights.
- Ending with a District record of 10-5, Overall 27-12 most wins in a season. (Back-to-back 20+ win seasons)
- Maintaining 3rd place in the district this year over South Hills and Trimble Tech.
- 5th straight playoff appearance, which hasn’t been done at NS since the early 90s.

Girls' basketball is in full swing starting tomorrow at Benbrook Middle High School vs Arlington Lamar with start time of 10:30am for JV and 12pm for varsity.

I just want to send a quick shout out to my girls' basketball team. Of 15 girls, 3 of them made all ‘A’s and 6 more of them made the A/B honor roll for the second 6 weeks grading period. Congratulations are in order and please remind them to keep up the good work!!!

The Dallas Mavericks Youth Combine held at Dunbar High School for the top Ft. Worth Area and surrounding cities 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Mr. Edwards was the boys morning speaker and Dr. Langston was the evening girls speaker. They were Awesome!!! We had FWISD Coaches Rhakira Williams (Head Girls South Hills), LaCedra Miller (Dunbar Freshman Boys), Daryl Guyton (Dunbar JV Boys), former Dunbar Wildcat player Kiyan Williams, former South Hills Scorpian Victoria Padilla working the camp and Coach Candice Isaac (Dunbar Head Girls Coach) as the Combine Director.

Heights JV boys placed 1st at Hidden Creek today. Pictured from Left to Right: Joe Kelly, Jacob Rollins, Marc Villagran, Jose Sanchez, and Derek Lammons. Jacob Rollins was also the JV tournament champion shooting a 82.
The Heights Varsity Boys competed at Southern Oaks Golf Club. The team finished in 3rd Place missing 2nd by just 1 shot!
Trip Stroube was the Men's Tournament Champion.

William James Middle School hosted the “Sunday Funday” basketball skills training and open run before the official opening of the middle school season. The Bears are ready to compete and showcase their talents for the upcoming season. Community partner Hoop Junkie Academy sponsored this event as a first of many initiatives to connect athletics and local stakeholders.

Coach Young has quietly put together one of the state’s best stories on the west side of Fort Worth as the Yellowjackets are off to a 7-0 start after they earned the biggest win in years in Fort Worth ISD stunning heavily favored Colleyville Heritage 41-31 on Friday night.

Janet Watson – Junior
Varsity Cross Country, Janet is the 5A girls District Champion for the 2022 XC Season. She has perfect attendance in school and has yet to miss a practice for any of her extracurricular activities. Not only is she a 3rd year Varsity runner in cross country and track, she's in Marching Band, Choir and is the Raider Team Commander for North Sides JROTC program, all while maintaining a 3.8 GPA. She exemplifies the true meaning of grit in every aspect of her life on and off the field.
