SHARK SHOUTOUTS
I’d like to extend an enormous thanks to Amanda Schuermann and the student leaders of the Spirit Club for organizing an amazing and much needed school event. The week was spectacular and to see the school come alive again was another step towards normalcy. -Ms. Jen Police
I’d like to take this opportunity to extend an enormous THANK YOU to Rich Oldach and Kathleen Davock, senior class advisors. They organized a beautiful prom for our graduating seniors to culminate their senior year and provide an opportunity for them to gather as a class one last time. It could not have happened without their dedication to this class and their willingness to navigate the never-ending challenges of this year. Also, to our incredible staff volunteers who chaperoned and assisted with our FIRST on-site prom: Mary Oldach, Adam Legg, Lindsay Ginnetty, Nick and Kate Seeley, Mickey Oliver, Tara Lee, Dr. Otto, Dave Alexander, Officer Clarke, Harwich PD, Bill Massey (Chatham PD). -Ms. Jen Police
Senior Prom 2021
The MRHS Class of 2021 would like to extend it’s sincerest gratitude to the following for helping to make our senior prom a reality: Dr. Scott Carpenter, Ms. Jennifer Police, Mr. David Alexander, Ms. Katie Kelly, Mr. Rick Travers, the MRHS custodial staff, Mr. Garth Petracca, Mrs. Mary Oldach, Mr. Adam Legg, Mrs. Lindsay Ginnetty, Mr. & Mrs. Nick Seeley, Ms. Mickey Oliver, Ms. Tara Lee, Dr. James Otto, Officer Tommy Clarke, and Sargent Bill Massey, Harwich Police Department, the Harwich Board of Health. Without your support, guidance and willingness to volunteer your time, this evening could not have happened as successfully as it did. Thank you to Ryan Gillis at Bayside Tents and Ardeo’s Cafe & Catering. You were both a pleasure to work with! Thank you to Tyler Gula for the live stream of the Grand March and to Keith Watkins, DJ extraordinaire! The donation of table linens and tablecloths from the Cape Sea Grille (the Ramler family) was much appreciated. Lastly, a special thank you to Ms. Enid Bailey for transforming our tent into a magical evening under the stars. It truly does take a village and ours is a pretty special one!

Weekly Recaps
BOYS TENNIS by Colin Malone:
This week the boys had some competitive matches at home. We had matches against Nauset, Cape Cod Academy, and Nantucket away.
Nauset's team came out strong on Monday, with a 1-4 match score. We hope to turn that score around when we travel to Nauset.
On Wednesday the team had a close match against Cape Cod Academy in our rematch for the season. Coming up clutch, the boys took home a 3-2 win, getting our second team win against CCA for the season.
Friday's score for the Nantucket match will be available in the next weekly summary for the team.
4-2 is now the overall record for the team!
Catch the guys next week as they host St. John Paul and travel to Rising Tide.
UNIFIED TRACK by Anna Bianco:
This week the Unified Track Team has shown great improvement in both our practices and our meet. On Monday, we had a meet at home against Sandwich and Falmouth. All three teams cheered on eachother, and showed a great amount of sportsmanship and support. As for the Monomoy Unified Track Team, every student athlete showed incredible effort and positivity during the meet. Brendan Pawlina once again did amazing in the 100 meter dash, long jump, and shotput and was certainly a captain by cheering every teammate on! Rory Farris is his biggest cheerleader and is ready for anything! Rory also participated and crushed the 100 meter dash, the long jump and shot put. Jessica Horsfall participated in the same three events, and always had a smile on her face ready to go in any event. Brady Grogan helped throughout all of the events by helping measure distances and supporting his other teammates. Grace Jodice is an allstar with her ability to run fast and also crushed the long jump, 100 meter dash and shotput. Lastly, Stella Linnell also participated in all three events, and took them on with so much positivity and willingness. All athletes ran in the relay race together and continued to work and help one another. To say the least throughout the whole meet, improvement was shown in every teammate.
SOFTBALL by Devinne Wilson:
The Softball team won both of our matches against Sandwich and Martha Vineyard. In the games against Martha’s Vineyard, the team had senior night. The teams set up for the senior night, especially the junior who made all the plans and brought everything together. Audrey Smith, Courtney Kelley, Maddie Crossen, Michaela Crossen, and Caroline DiGiovanni, big shout out to you all. It was a great week overall, we had lots of fun, but we know the work to improve ourselves never ends because there are always things we can work on to make ourselves better individually and as a team.
BOYS LACROSSE by Jake Burnie:
After having a whole week off and starting fresh this week we were able to reset and attempt to turn the season around. That’s exactly what we did on Thursday the 28th. We hosted Dennis-Yarmouth boys lacrosse on our home turf as we were able to secure our first win. Josh Lovely, our goalie, had 15 saves and almost had a shutout win. The scoring was spread across the roster which was great including Braden Yarletts who got his first varsity goal. Tristan Coomber was a force to be reckoned with as he had 4 assists from the attack position. Sean Deveau has a hat trick along with Dylan Meincke putting up 2. August Hand had an incredible game with over 10 caused turnovers and an abundance of ground balls. Our defense stood tall as they only let in one goal. It was awesome to see everyone’s energy up and having fun. Getting that win was huge for our team and I think turned around the mentality of what the season could look like.
GIRLS GOLF by Charlotte Blute:
The girls golf team had another great week this week leaving us 7-0 overall. We were able to practice at Eastward Ho! on Monday and Tuesday to prepare us for our away match vs. Nauset on Wednesday. We beat Nauset 6-0 at their home course, Captain’s in Brewster. Everyone played great rounds and won all their matches!
