PTO NEWS: Bookfair, & Staff Conference Meal Sign Up!

1. Scholastic Book Fair

There are many different opportunities to shop this year. Online starting February 24th – March 4th, On-site March 1st and 3rd, and new this year, E-Wallet. Find out more details about these options on Valerius Book Fair Homepage. https://www.scholastic.com/bf/valeriuselementaryschool

2. Staff Meals During Conferences

Help the Valerius PTO support our teachers during conferences by providing dinner on conference nights. If you prefer to donate food or items, sign up for Tuesday, March 1 to provide items for a pasta dinner. If you prefer to donate money, sign up for Thursday, March 3 to help cover the cost of Palmer's boxed meals. Donations are set up in $10 increments, but donations of any amount are always appreciated.

Read Across America Celebration: March 4th - 10th!

We are excited about books here at Valerius and want to celebrate our building growth this year in the area of literacy! Kids and teachers have been working hard and learning lots! Friday (3/4) is Get comfy and Read! Wear your comfy clothes today and get ready for some extra reading time!

Safety at Parent Pick Up

Please ensure you do not block the sidewalk as you enter the Valerius parking lot to pick up your child at the end of the day. Students need to use the sidewalk to get to the crosswalk and cross the busy street safely. Thank you for keeping our students safe!

Visitor Reminders

Just a few reminders as we welcome visitors back into the building.

  • As the COVID-19 vaccine is currently approved for individuals 5 years of age and older, visitors are permitted for Kindergarten through 12th grades. This means that students, staff, families, and visitors in compliance with school visitor policies and Principal approval are allowed inside our elementary (K-5), middle, and high school buildings.
  • Visitors are not permitted during lunch for Kindergarten through 8th grades.
  • Building Principals may limit the number of adult visitors in a classroom, or in an area of the building, at any given time.

All visitors must check into the main office to sign in and to be escorted to the classroom. Please call the main office if you have any questions.
