Eleven very talented players from across the United States have been selected by the Baseball For All Ambassadors program to represent the U.S.A. in Costa Rica, and our very own JOANNE NUNES is one of them! Joanne can be seen winding up to pitch in the photo below.

We are delighted to report that SMHS has been chosen to partner with the Boston Celtics(!) and Project 351 in The Playbook Initiative, a program that aims to empower students to build inclusive school communities and create welcoming school climates where every student feels an authentic sense of belonging.

On Saturday, December 2, SMHS students Peter Milburn, Shreya Shukla, in addition to grade 8 civics teacher Mr. Jeff Duffany, and Interim Principal Ms. Jeanne Nelson attended the Playbook 2024 Kick-off Summit at the Red Auerbach Center in Brighton. Peter & Shreya are excited to share their training with SMHS students. More information about the Playbook Initiative at SMHS will be coming soon!
