Willow Parent Bulletin # 14
December 1, 2023
The Good Stuff:
It was wonderful to see so many of you during conferences last week. (Yes, that was just last week!) Thank you to Erica Van Shaik for putting in long hours at the book fair so we could keep it open! It's another example of all the help we get from PTA. During conferences, they treated us to lunch and dinner! We appreciate them keeping our bellies full! If you have not yet joined, click the button below for online access.
We were able to send very full baskets of goodies home with 10 families in the community for Thanksgiving. Your generous donations were coupled with turkeys donated by South Suburban Access. 🦃
The building will be buzzing with more activities than usual this month! Please be sure to read your child's classroom newsletter to stay in the know. We are also super lucky to have Hart's Panther Choir coming to sing and other students coming over to read. Right before the break, the HF Band came to march with some of our Wildcats during our version of the Macy's Day Parade and then played outside during pick-up! We are so fortunate to have so many community groups spending time with our students!
Golden Apple Awards
Honor an outstanding Pre-K-3rd grade teacher by nominating him/her/them for the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching. This is a prestigious award in in our field. You can show your appreciation to a teacher with a nomination, but do it soon because nominations close December 8! 🍏
Kindness Experts
Jen Ermshler, our SEL teacher, took some time to ask a few students what it means to be kind. Please take time to check our their sweet responses below!
ISO:
Thanks to all of you who donated winter wear so we could set up loaner stations for students. We are still in need of snow pants of all sizes!
Are you missing anything?
The lost and found has exploded. If you are missing any items, please stop by the Office and ask to visit the lost and found. Items not claimed by winter break will be donated.
Bulletin stats:
Last week we had 513 people from 17 different states look at the Bulletin. We also had our first visitors from India. Thanks for letting others know about our amazing Wildcats!!
