Save the date for Eagle Expo! Parents of PreK-5th grade are invited to come into classrooms to check out some of what their students have been learning this school year! PTO will also be selling pizza and refreshments so you can make it a family pizza night in the cafeteria from 4:45-6pm. See you on April 18th! See volunteer sign up link below.

Kindergarteners are working to support mothers and babies, and we need your help! Please send diapers and wipes to school between April 17-28 to stock the shelves at Infant Crisis Services. Feel free to check out their Amazon wishlist for other necessities. To support one of our own staff members, the first 20 boxes will be given to Mrs. Herber who is expecting triplets!!! 🍼🍼🍼

It is the goal of St. Eugene Parish that no Catholic child, whose family is participating in the life of their Parish, will ever be denied a Catholic education because of financial need. We utilize the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment to conduct financial need analysis. This program collects financial data from families to determine an appropriate level of financial assistance for each family that applies. For consideration for financial aid, registration through FACTS must occur by April 15th each year. Please see the financial assistance information in your FACTS enrollment online packet. Click on the links under the navigation section to the left for specific information on tuition and registration fees.

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is looking for new applicants to replace those who are completing their term this spring. The primary role of the SAC is to collaborate as a whole with and serve in an advisory role to the principal and pastor in policymaking to guide our school community in fulfilling our mission. We are looking for volunteers with a background in education, finance, facilities, and law. To serve, you must be a practicing Catholic, St. Eugene parishioner, and be 18 years or older. If you’re interested in serving The Catholic School of St. Eugene in this way, please send an email to sacchair@steugeneschool.org by April 30th introducing yourself and highlighting strengths, experience/expertise, and any aspects of the school you are passionate about. SAC meets one evening a month, and members will need to be available for committee meetings and certain school events as well.

We are in our final quarter, so it’s time to make sure your family has put in the required Time & Talent hours. Our Time and Talent program requires each family to contribute 30 hours of service to the school. Only 20 hours are needed for single parent families. Grandparents can earn hours for their children's families, however you must indicate which grandchild's family you are working for in each particular instance. Students may earn up to 10 hours of their family’s obligation, provided it is for an approved and qualifying volunteer opportunity.

Time and Talent hours must be logged through your FACTS Family Portal under Family Information, Service Hours. Deadline to submit hours for the 2022-223 school year is Friday, May 26, 2023. Logging hours is the responsibility of the family. If your family chooses not to donate the minimum service hours, a $10 fee is charged for each hour not completed. The charges will be uploaded into FACTS. Unpaid charges can affect final registration for the 2023-2024 school year.

The Small Communities of Faith ministry is hosting movie night for a series of seven Fridays in April, May, and June. They have asked if the Athletics Commission would be willing to open the concession stand. We need some adult and student volunteers to help out on those Fridays. Stay n’ Play After Sunday Morning Mass! Want to connect with other St. Eugene parents? Volunteer to be a Welcome Host after a Sunday 9:30am Mass. Simply commit to being at Mass that morning, then make your way to the playground for Stay n’ Play, and introduce yourself to others as they arrive. Weather permitting. All you need is a smile and a willing spirit! Our Stay n Play" ministry is grounded in the age-old tradition of parenting on playgrounds. Informal gatherings like this can often be exactly what's needed to help people feel welcome, to know that they belong in this community, and to make connections with folks they may rely on. Our Lady of Guadalupe Youth Summer Camp Registration Open! Registration is OPEN! Join us Summer 2023 for a week of prayer, activities and friendship! Camp OLOG, which is located between Luther and Wellston approximately 45 minutes from Oklahoma City, offers students of all faiths an opportunity to attend. The camp is open to students who will be entering fourth through 12th grades in the 2023-24 school year. Camp will be facilitated by counselors, priests and seminarians and is designed to instill the values of the Catholic faith in an exciting, safe and supportive environment. Come Exercise Your Creative Muscles! Join us May 5 at 9:30am in the Atrium to help prepare materials for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. No need to be a celebrated artist. Still Need Safe Environment? We still have a lot of people wanting to volunteer who have not completed Safe Environment. ALL ARCHDIOCESAN/PARISH/SCHOOL EMPLOYEES & ADULT VOLUNTEERS who have contact with minors or vulnerable adults must complete the new online Safe & Sacred Training (2020) including a background check. Until all steps have been completed in the online training portal, employees and volunteers may not serve at the parish/school or organization. Please complete this google form to send in your name and email address to Jennifer Goodrich so that she can send you information to begin the process! You must have updated SE if you plan on driving on field trips, being a homeroom parent, or coaching a team, etc.
