I hope all is well with you and your families. Back in November, an accident took place on Mulberry St. where a student was hit by a car. We have asked that no one drop their student off by parking across the street from the school. Since this accident, I have asked my staff to park in the back to give families space to park in the lot while dropping off. We are still seeing parents parking on the other side and walking students over or letting the students out to cross over on their own. Please use the parking lot to drop your student off and reframe from parking across from the school. While I understand that the accident didn't happen while that parent was dropping off the students for school, we want to be proactive in avoiding any danger that could occur in the future. Please use the parking lot. There are plenty of spaces available.
I also asked that you not pull up between the buses or the signs out front indicating "Bus Only." I understand that many of you are rushing to get to work, but we want to avoid any accidents. We want to ensure the safety of our students, and this is the only way to do so.
I appreciate your understanding!
~ Mrs. Wright
Breakfast Starts at 8:30am
Now that we are moving towards opening up a little more, we decided to begin doing our current breakfast program the way we have done it in the past. Doors will open up at 8:30 am, allowing students to come in and go directly to the cafeteria to have breakfast. They will be released from the cafeteria at 9:00 to go to class. Breakfast students who ride the bus will get off the bus, come into the building, and go directly to the cafeteria. Students are expected to go into the cafeteria, eat their breakfast, and go to class. Any students who have not completed their breakfast are free to take it back to class to finish it. Any students arriving late that want breakfast are welcomed to go to the cafeteria, pick up breakfast, and head to their classroom.
CVE Science Olympiad Competition - Congratulations CVE!
Last Saturday, March 5th, our Science Olympiad team competed in the Chippewa Valley District competition at Chippewa Valley High School. We competed against the 11 other elementary schools within our district. All the students on the team worked so hard these past few months preparing and had so much fun!
Thank you to all the parents that helped coach and dedicated their time to our team. We can't wait for the county tournament in May!

NWEA Testing
Please be mindful that this assessment is critical. For the students to be successful when taking assessments, we have first to ensure they have a healthy breakfast on the day of the assessment. You can provide them with breakfast at home or have the student request a breakfast from our Breakfast Program.
Below you will find the schedule for our Upper Elementary students. Remember Grades K-2 are not taking the NWEA this year.
