Kindergarten Transitions
All Kinder eligible students may not stay at the ELC for another year per our state guidelines. Kinder eligible is defined as children who turn five years old on or before Sept. 1st.
https://www.barrington220.org/families/kindergarten-information
We will hold transition meetings for students with IEPs with the Kindergarten teams. Families will be invited to these beneficial meetings as you are the most important part of our teams. If your child does not have an IEP or has a speech only IEP, our early childhood teachers will share information with the Kindergarten teachers across the district to ensure a successful transition for all of our students.
If you have any questions regarding your child's home school or transition, please reach out to myself or your child's team.

BHS Winterfest 2023 - December 8 & 9
Our District Fine Arts Department and Barrington High School are excited to produce our fourth annual Winter Wonderfest which celebrates the creativity and talents of our 220 community. Winterfest is an open house event taking place December 8 & 9 at Barrington High School and tickets can be purchased through our online box office linked here. We encourage you to come enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the holiday season through many experiences...from making ornaments & friendship bracelets to participating in games run by BHS students, and enjoying art and music and displays from all of our 220 schools. The experiences are covered by the price of your tickets. Tickets are $10/person for non-performers. Anyone needing financial assistance should contact btileston@barrington220.org.
Take our External Communications Survey!
In June 2023 the Barrington 220 Board of Education approved the district's new strategic plan, Framework 220, which will guide the district's work over the next few years. The plan consists of six strategic priorities. One of the priorities is Community Partnerships & Communication. Please click here to take our 3-minute external communications survey!
Health Information
Please do not bring in food treats with your child as we will need to send them home with your student. A daily snack is provided to all students. To keep all of our students safe, students should not be bringing any food or snacks to school at any time. Thank you for honoring this decision as we support the health and wellness for all our students.
Transportation - Important Information
