Valley High School Update
Demonstrating the Valley Standard in the 4 A's
September 2, 2022
Greetings!
We had another great week at Valley High School and we are in full swing. Activities are beginning ramp up and our fall sports are well into their seasons. There is quality instruction and engagement taking place in classrooms, and our students have adjusted well to the new initiatives we have implemented. We are also beginning to conduct our safety drills around lockdown, fire and tornado. We truly believe we are the best school in the state of Iowa and our commitment to demonstrating excellence (the Valley Standard) in the 4 A's (Academics, Arts, Activities and Athletics) is testament to that. Let's enjoy the weekend, and whoever you are supporting for the big game, be safe and have fun!
Go Tigers!!!
ACADEMICS
This is the perfect time to establish positive habits and routines for school success! Let's focus on being to class on time and practicing 4CP (Critical Thinking, Continuous Learning, Communication, Collaboration and Professionalism) in all of our classes and interactions.
In order to make sure we have a safe building for our kids and staff, beginning Monday, IDs are necessary to 1.) enter the building and 2.) eat lunch.
- If students forget their ID, they will either need to retrieve it from their car or home before entering the building.
- If they lose their ID, they will be escorted to the office for a new ID. The $5.00 cost will be assigned to their fee statement.
Valley High School is a closed campus. Students are not allowed to leave school in the middle of the day if they have an open period. The only students allowed to leave during the day are seniors for their 30 minute lunch.
