From the Principal's Desk
Hopkins Families,
Fall is here! As the temperatures get cooler, please send light jackets with your students, but remember to put their names on the tags! This will help with our Lost and Found collection. Remember that at the end of each semester we will donate any unclaimed coats, jackets, hats, etc.
For October, plan on coming to Hopkins on October 26th for our Harvest Night @ the HOP and Café con la Familia with the GCPS Superintendent! Both events will happen on the same night starting at 5pm with Harvest Night activities in the Upper and Lower Gyms, and then the Café con la Familia with the Superintendent in the Cafeteria! Fill out this survey with any questions you would like to ask the Superintendent of Gwinnett County Public Schools, Dr. Calvin J. Watts! The event will be in Spanish and we will have tabling from our community partners!

Hopkins School Council
- The A+ Education Reform Act of 2000 established school councils in Georgia to bring communities and schools closer together in a spirit of cooperation to achieve the following: solve difficult education problems, improve academic achievement, provide support for teachers and administrators, and bring parents into the school-based decision-making process. In short, School Councils provide advice, recommendations, and assistance to principals and local boards of education. Hopkins Elementary School council meets four times a year (September, November, January, and March).
- If you are interested in joining the Hopkins School Council for the 2023 - 2024 school year, contact Noelle Gardner, Administrative Assistant, at noelle.gardner@gcpsk12.org.
