March 2023
Ridgeview Families - Principal Note
Another fantastic month at Ridgeview. It is such a privilege to serve your students!
We started our Ridgeview Kindness Campaign in this past month and I hope your students have been coming home talking about all of Kindness they are doing here at Ridgeview. Everyday our staff is on the watch, catching students doing acts of kindness.
Kindness we understand is a choice, a choice that makes the not only our school a better place but our whole lives and the lives of others, which is kinda point of our project. Please talk with your student, ask them how they are demonstrating kindness and maybe even better if someone has shone them kindness lately. Thank you for all you parents!
In other news:
I want to share with your that I will be leaving Ridgeview Elementary at the end of the school year. I look forward to supporting Ridgeview as we plan for the school's new leadership next fall. Thank you for all your support this last two years and your continued support of the Ridgeview Community.

PTO meeting highlights
Each month we are thankful for group of parents and staff who come together for the sole purpose of supporting our Ridgeview Community! They plan fun events like our recent Movie Night, raise funds to support educational events such as field trips and provide resources to meet the needs within our school and classrooms.
They are also a connection between what is happening in our schools and the home. This is something that has been sorely missed during the pandemic.
Want to find out more? What to learn what is happening? There are so many ways to be involved, behind the scenes supporting an event, planning teams, bringing your ideas and voice to our PTO meetings, or even become part of the PTO leadership team. We would love to have you in any capacity works with you and your family!
Come to our next meeting on: March. 7th at 6:00 in the Ridgeview Library.
We meet the 1st Tuesday at 6:00 each month. See you there!

Parent Parking and Student Drop Off - Part 2
Parents,
Thank you Families!
We needed your help and your really came through!
I understand that our parking situation may not be ideal but it does work and that is because of you, Thank you!
Thank you for planning ahead to make sure you have time to park and for you and/or your students to walk up to the building.
Thank you for honoring our staff parking needs and not using or blocking the spaces we need to get staff to work on time..
Thank you for not parking in non-designated spaces such as yellow and red marked, no parking or loading zones.
All these things that might seem like little things, but really add up to helping ensure that the safety of our students, your students is happening everyday. Thank you!
We can still use your help!
Even though there are many great things that happen each morning we can get better still.
We have been asked by some of our wonderful neighbors to ask families to not use the cul-de-sacs on the northside of the school for drop off and pick. They report that the traffic makes it hard to get out of their driveways and even at times blocks in their cars. They are also worried about the safety of the students with so many moving vehicles coming in and out.
So please if you are using these locations as a drop please refer to the options provided in the map above and use them. It might mean you need to add an extra 2-3 minutes to to your drop off and pick-up routines but it is really appreciated by all. - Thank you
Lets Go SKYHAWKS!
Thank you families for all you do, it is really appreciated!
