We had a really wonderful week. Reading the walls of our classrooms where students and teachers have worked together to make their learning visible is incredibly inspiring. Even moreso, having conversations with students who are able to articulate what they are learning, as young as five years old, and speak to where they are in relation to that goal, then identify how they will get there, is quite remarkable. If your child hasn't shared, you should ask them about it. Our students and staff are really taking strides and continually improving each day. This week, we had visitors from neighboring school districts come and visit two of our classrooms to be able to see some of this in action. If your child is in Mrs. Buckingham or Mr. Lowe's classes, ask them about their experience with the visitors. They did a fantastic job showcasing their learning and should be so proud!

Many of our students have been impacted by illness. When your child is sick, and with a fever or vomiting, please keep them home. If you are unsure if they are ready to return to school, please give our office a call and our team can help answer your questions. We want to ensure they're feeling great and we want them to have the best learning opportunity each day when they are healthy. Thank you for also providing your child appropriate clothes for the weather, as it has gotten cold!

In order to help you all know what the week looks like, we will list it out clearly for you each week. REID days for are invited students and will change each week. Students are invited to REID days for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it's to extend or challenge a student, and other times it might be to provide extra help on a particular skill. On those days, our doors open at 7:50 and dismissal is at 10:00am. If you have questions about this week's schedule, please let. us know!

We have a number of students who are arriving at school late each day. We really emphasize the importance of coming to school each day and on time to establish routine, consistency, and we don't want your child to miss important social and academic items that are so valuable to their school success. If there is a specific circumstance causing this for your family, please let us know so we can support you. Thank you.

Each month we choose to focus on one of our Standards of Excellence. Through this, we teach our students what it means to display these characteristics. Then we recognize members of our school community for exemplifying the trait. All of these help us to reach our school district's long term mission of equipping our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be resourceful and successful.

My School Bucks is an online payment service that provides parents the ability to securely pay for meals, monitor student cafeteria purchases, and receive email notifications for low account balances.
