Big Announcement
Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library
We are excited to bring back our One District, One Book Initiative this year. Books will go home with the oldest student on March 31st. Calendars and bookmarks will also come home. The first night of reading will be April 5. We encourage you all to read along with your family at home:)
Yearbooks
We believe that all students should have as many memories and opportunities as possible here at ROCORI Public Schools. All ROCORI Elementary students will receive a yearbook.
If you would like to help offset the cost of these yearbooks for the district and our PTCs, please consider purchasing a yearbook or donating by April 17.
- Yearbooks can be purchase directly through the Lifetouch information below.
- Cash or Check payments or donations can be sent to your school office.
If you have any questions about Yearbooks, please feel free to contact our school office.
Discounted At-Home Internet
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) provides eligible households a discount of up to $30 per month off their internet bills (or up to $75 per month for households living on Tribal lands), as well as a one-time discount of up to $100 off an eligible connected device like a laptop, desktop computer or tablet. In many cases, households can get high-speed internet without paying a dime by choosing a fully covered internet plan.
This announcement serves as a reminder that a household is eligible to participate in the ACP if a child in the household receives free or reduced-price school meals. Therefore, under the ACP rules, every household with a child attending a school participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program is eligible for ACP benefits.
Households can learn more and apply for the ACP at GetInternet.gov.
While this reminder is specific to schools that are participating in CEP, additional information about eligibility for CEP discount benefits can be found in the School Outreach Toolkit PDF (English) and School Outreach Toolkit PDF (Spanish). The toolkit provides information about ways households can qualify for the ACP, including through an individual student’s participation in the National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program providing free or reduced-price meals; through a household member’s participation in a wide range of other federal assistance programs like Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and many others; or based on the household’s income (up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level).
Drop Off Time
Please remember drop off time in the morning is at 7:45. The doors are locked and we so not have staff for supervision until 7:45. If you need to drop off earlier please contact Spartan Spot! They are open at 6:00 a.m until the start of the school day. It is a wonderful and safe option for our students!

Inclement Weather - What does a Flexible Learning Day look like for an Elementary student?
In ROCORI, our elementary teachers have developed Flexible Learning Boards in case travel to school needs to be cancelled due to safety concerns. Here's what the day looks like for students at ROCORI elementary schools.
- Dr. Thein will message families via email and text as soon as safely possible to let families know if there is a Flexible Learning day.
- Elementary students should choose activities off of their flexible learning boards to complete for the day.
- Students will be marked present in school unless a family calls to say the student is ill or unable to participate in the Flexible Learning activities.
- An adult at home should sign the Flexible Learning Board and send it with their child to school the next in person learning day.
- Students have several days to complete the required activities on the board. Please work with your child's teacher if an extension is needed.
- Teachers are available from 9:00am to 2:00pm for email questions about the activities.
