Take a Peek at Our Week
A Special Kids Care Club Event for 4th, 5th and 6th Graders!
On Wednesday, March 15th, specially trained Veteran Mentors will present Travis Manion Foundation's renowned Character Does Matter (CDM) program to Gayman students in 4th, 5th and 6th grades. CDM was developed as a way to connect veterans with youth in our country, to talk about character strengths, develop leadership skills, and give back to communities. The interactive presentation will last approximately 45 minutes. Afterward, we will make cards and decorate pillowcases for service members through Operation: Gratitude, in honor of its 20th anniversary. Pickup will be at 5pm outside the main doors.
Sign-up here to attend this event.
In the meantime, please contact Megan Monforte (meganmonforte9@gmail.com) for more information or with questions.
SPECIAL NOTE: While we absolutely love the kindness and enthusiasm of our younger KCC participants, this particular event is best suited for intermediate grades. Students in K through 3rd are invited to participate at home by making a card for or writing a letter to a serviceperson through Operation: Gratitude. They can be brought to the main office any time before the end of March.
