Groundhog and Kindergarten Students Accurately Predict Six More Weeks of Winter!
Let's just say, the Groundhog has nothing on Miss Heffler and Mrs. Bulter's kindergarten students!
These cute little groundhogs concurred with Punxsutawney Phil and accurately predicted six more weeks of winter.
Raiders for Rylee a Huge Success!
Raiders for Rylee a Huge Success!
Cal-Mum High School hosted an American Red Cross Blood Drive to support their classmate Rylee Markwitz, who has a rare disease that requires her to receive daily blood transfusions. Rylee is a rock star Raider - she was released from a lengthy hospital stay and made her first stop at Cal-Mum High School to see her friends on the day of the blood drive.
Raiders are here for you Rylee and we all send you wishes for a speedy recovery!
Elementary School STEAM Club
Things are really heating up at the Cal-Mum Elementary School STEAM Club.
STEAM is the acronym for Science - Technology - Engineering - Art - Math. The projects that the students work on and develop in this after school club incorporate all of those areas.

Congratulations to Sophomore Hazell Nickerson and Seventh Grader Gianna Pillittere , recipients of the Middle/High School Champion Award.
The award may be given to a student, team, or group that goes above and beyond in representing our school at the highest level and is willing to do whatever it takes to be a champion and positively impact our school community .
Nominations are made by staff members at the end of each quarter. Recipients are selected by a student leadership team.

High School Art Students Exhibit their Work

Seniors Markus Phillips and Kelsey Curtis had their artwork included in an exhibit at the Bevier Art Gallery on the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology. Art Teacher Mrs. McArdle and Superintendent Molisani attended the opening reception.

Junior Samantha Johnson had her artwork exhibited alongside her Art Teacher Mrs. McArdle's artwork at an exhibit called Shared Spaces at Nazareth University in Pittsford.

Seventh Grader Abigail Hunt Donates to Camp Good Days & Special Times
Seventh grader Abigail Hunt asked for something unique for her birthday. Abby asked for donations to Camp Good Days & Special Times, a not-for-profit organization that operates a camp in Mendon, N.Y. for children and their families who have been touched by cancer.
She donated the $500 in proceeds from her birthday fundraiser to Amanda Anderson, a Caledonia resident who has works for the organization.
Way to go Abby - we are Cal-Mum proud of you!

Cal-Mum PTO hosted a Sweetheart Dance for elementary school students and their families. Over 400 students and their guests attended for a fun night!
A Night of a Thousand ⭐ and just as many memories
Cal-Mum High School Student Council hosted the winter semi-formal dance themed, Night of a Thousand Stars.

Mr. Meloon's Public Speaking students spent the morning reading to students in the elementary school. Students in pre-kindergarten through second grade gathered around the readers who visited their classrooms and enjoyed hearing a book of their choice. AP Psychology Students Learn about Careers from School Psychologist Dr. Monroe
Dr. Abigail Monroe, Caledonia-Mumford School Psychologist
Cal-Mum's School Psychologist Dr. Abigail Monroe spoke to Ms. Dorman's AP Psychology students about the career choices available in the field of Psychology. Dr. Monroe is a licensed clinical psychologist and a certified school psychologist. The students had many good questions for Dr. Monroe about what education path she took and what they should consider if choosing a psychology career.

Congratulations to Chloe Murray who was awarded the Caledonia Fire Department's Explorer of the Year recognition at their annual banquet in February 2023.
Senator Pamela Helming presented Chloe with a Senate Proclamation recognizing her achievement.

CM's Chadwick Littleton competes in National Clay Target Championship
Cal-Mum's Chadwick Littleton competes at the USA High School Clay Target National Championship
Chadwick Littleton was invited to attend the USA High School Clay Target League National Championship in July of 2022 in Mason, Michigan.
Chadwick is ranked 355th in the nation after shooting four rounds of 25. In one of the rounds he shot a perfect score of 25.
Twenty-six students compete on Cal-Mum's Clay Target team, which meets on Sundays at the Mumford Sportsman's Club.
