Amy Fleck, our 4th grade teacher, has stepped away from her position due to personal reasons. We want to thank Ms. Fleck and wish her all the best. Please be watching for additional details regarding our process to identify her replacement.

We’re excited for our upcoming October 4th Walk+Roll to School Challenge. Earlier this year we had our most successful Walk+Roll Challenge after record breaking participation in May – let’s keep up the good work!

We will be hosting a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month alongside with PSO, on September 26th from 6-7:00 PM in the Deer Creek library. We would love for all families and staff to come join in on this pot luck event.

Volunteer process:

We are very fortunate to have wonderful community members and families who want to be part of our students' education by volunteering! With that comes the responsibility of making sure our schools and students are safe at all times.

Anyone seeking to be a volunteer for our schools and or buildings needs to be background checked and offered the vector training. If a community member and or parent wants to volunteer, they have to go through the volunteer process and be cleared before doing so.

Volunteers and after school events:

The volunteer process must be followed if the person will be interacting with our students. Whether the volunteering will take place during school or after school, the parent/community member must undergo the volunteer requirements as outlined on our website. This includes all school and or PTO/PSO sponsored events.

Background checks:
We are very busy with background checks for new hires and volunteers. Please get your volunteer applications submitted sooner than later so you are approved for activities throughout the year. Volunteer applications are good for 3 years, this includes the background check and the training.

Covid Vaccine Cards are no longer required!

We have a few, fun visitors this fall who are helping clean up the blackberries and poison oak from our wooded area behind the school. Classes will be taking "field trips" to see the progress that they are making and just watching the cuteness. Make sure to check in with your students to hear some fun stories of their visits. We are not able to pet or feed them but they are very entertaining to watch while they work!

The goats will be heading back to their home by the end of September. They have been so fun to watch. We are going to be sad to see them go!
