Blue Hills News
From the Desk of the Principal - April 1, 2021
Dear Blue Hills Families,
Last week, you received a letter on a planned 100% reopening for April 29, 2021. As we draw closer to that reopening, we will send out more information to help ensure that students, faculty, and staff remain safe at Blue Hills.
Please review the following notes and reminders:
Graduation and Senior Events:
Over the next several weeks, we will be announcing plans for end of year senior events.
Graduation will still take place on June 8 (with a rain date of June 9); details on the ceremony will be released when available.
Other senior events - like prom, field day, Senior Awards Night, and senior breakfast - are being reviewed, and decisions on if and how these events may occur will be announced as soon as we can.
Athletics:
Rules for Spectators (outdoors only):
- Spectators must remain 6 feet apart from other groups/households at all times.
- Masks must be worn at all times (including on the bleachers and seating areas overlooking fields.)
- No spectators are allowed on the playing fields or on the track or inside gated areas.
- Spectators are strongly encouraged to bring their own chairs.
Spring Athletics Registration is open on FamilyID and will run until 4/28/2021. All athletes must register and ensure that up to date physical exams are on file with Nurse Gainey by the 28th. The season (tryouts) begins on May 5, 2021.
After School Pickup:
Juniors and seniors leave the parking lots at 2:20 - if you are picking up a student from school, please do NOT block any driveways, exits, or entrances. If there is no room in front of the gym, please find a spot to park and wait for your student.
Late Buses:
Late buses for extra help run Monday through Thursday at 3:10 p.m.
Grade 9:
Final vocational placements for grade nine will be released next week.
Sincerely,
Geoff Zini

- Do not park or pickup at the front entrance after school. Parents/Guardians picking up after school should pull alongside the front of the gym and cafeteria into the East lot, or find a spot to park and wait.
