Two re-elected and five newly-elected members of the Methacton Board of School Directors were sworn into office at the Board's reorganization meeting on December 4, 2023.

Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Thomas Rogers administered the oath of office to Ms. Pooja Chanda, Ms. Cathy Cleary, Ms. Kate Graf, Mr. Glenn Mersky, Ms. Semira Perdue, Ms. Kathleen Thiel, and Mr. Paul Winters.

The seven recently-elected members join seated Board Directors Ms. Elizabeth Alston and Ms. Jen Cancro.

The new Board elected Ms. Cancro as Board President and Ms. Perdue as Vice President. They each will serve a term of one year. Ms. Perdue was also appointed to serve as the MCIU Board Representative. Mr. Mersky was appointed to serve with Ms. Alston as representatives on the North Montco Technical Career Center Joint Operating Committee.

All other items listed in the December 4, 2023 agenda were approved.

The Methacton School District's Board of School Directors meets each month. School board work session meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of the month, followed by the regular meeting on the fourth Tuesday (except during the month of December). Regular Board and Work Session meetings typically take place in the Arcola Auditorium, and all residents are invited to attend. Committee meetings take place in the MHS LGI.
