FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parent/Guardians,
Can you believe that we are already into the holiday season with Thanksgiving around the corner? I believe we all have much to give thanks for this year. I am thankful that we have been able to offer in-person learning to all our students, and it is great to have them back on campus healthy and safe.
So far this year, I have been really impressed with our student council. It is one of the first years that we have had a very active council exhibiting strong leadership skills. As a principal, it is great to see such leadership shine from these students.
Congratulations
We have had a successful baseball and volleyball season, especially after not having a season for such a long time. I am proud to announce that all our students performed well this season and that two baseball teams reached the playoffs, the 5/6th team and the 7th grade team. 7th graders took the championship last weekend. Well done, students!
Star Testing
The second Star testing period has concluded, and we are happy to see growth with our students in reading and math. Once again, these results assist teachers in preparing appropriate learning experiences for the students.
Curriculum
We are in the process of adopting a new social studies series for the new school year. Teachers will review various series from different publishers and choose one by March of 2022 for implementation for the 2022-2023 school year.
Kindergarten Open House
We are entering the kindergarten enrollment period, and you all can help by referring families to our Open House on Tuesday, December 7th, from 9am to 11am. We will begin Kindergarten testing on Wednesday, December 8th.
Sunday Mass
Students from various grades prepare family Sunday Masses for the school. I would encourage you to attend the 10:30am Mass each 1st Sunday of the Month. As parents, we are obligated to give witness to our Faith for the children through regular Sunday mass attendance.
Pet Policy
For safety reasons, pets are not permitted on school property at any time. Comfort animals are not considered service animals and are therefore treated as pets.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving and if you are traveling, be safe.
God Bless,
Vincent Riener

COVID VACCINE UPDATE - HOLIDAYS
Vaccinations
Vaccination of our students is critical, and the county is encouraging all to be vaccinated. We just learned from San Mateo County Health that additional appointments were added to the San Mateo County Event Center Pediatric clinic today. There is quite a bit of availability. Please go to MyTurn to schedule an appointment.
Holiday Travel
Today I attended the San Mateo County Health and School District meeting regarding COVID-19. Once again, the emphasis is on vaccinating everyone. I have attached a pdf regarding the upcoming Holiday season. When traveling, everyone should be wearing masks and using hand sanitizer. Please review the Recommendations pdf below.
Testing
The school continues to offer COVID-19 testing every Tuesday. I would strongly recommend that all students be tested, especially during the winter months where it is predicted that we will see a surge in cases. If you have not registered your child or yourself, you can do so with Virus Geeks. Click here to register.
