Retake Picture Day is 10/25/2023! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 78098JF to place your order.
Click the graphic above to place a retake order with Inter-state Studio.
A FEW FRIENDLY REMINDERS. . . . .
A few reminders from the school office:
Parents, if you have a student that will be absent, we need you to call in your student if they will not be in school using the attendance line and please remember to state the reason for the absence. (Our office needs to verify all absences and will be calling you if we don't hear from you and if your child is absent).
We have had some parents asking about bringing in birthday treats for their child's birthday. Non food treats are permitted but per District 303 policy, there is no food allowed to be brought in during the school day to celebrate birthday parties or for school rooms parties.
Interested in being a Volunteer in some capacity at Anderson? (Click Below)
Thank you for showing interest in potentially volunteering to support our teachers. This survey data will be collected and then willing volunteers may be matched with teachers' needs as they arise throughout the year. If your answers indicate you're interested in coming into the school to volunteer, we will reach out to you with the security forms needed prior to you coming.
November's PTO meeting is an important one!
The November 7th PTO meeting will include a proposal to amend the Anderson Elementary School PTO Bylaws. The bylaws are being updated to allow for the flexibility to allow remote presentations, as well as hybrid or remote meetings. If you would like to view the bylaws before the meeting, please email ptovp.andersonfoxes@gmail.com

FROM THE SOUTH ELGIN PARK DISTRICT
District 303 is pleased to present its lineup of Parent Education sessions for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Parent Education series (formerly Parent University) includes informational meetings and workshops intended to empower parents and guardians to support their children’s academic, social and emotional needs. Become informed on specialized topics, engage in two-way dialogue with speakers and fellow parents, and become a support resource for others.
Sessions for this school year will focus on bullying prevention, addressing anxiety, and include film screenings and discussions about the impact of screen time and cultural awareness. The schedule also includes college preparation workshops hosted by our high schools. Sessions were selected based in part on feedback from District 303 parents.
Explore the full lineup of sessions here. Signup forms for each session will be made available closer to the session dates. New this year, you can also register for Parent Education notifications and receive alerts as new information and session recaps become available.
