Dear Larson Families,

We finally made it to the end of October and it has been a great month. Students are continuing to work hard and are showing grit and determination every day. Our teachers and paraprofessionals have been doing an amazing job both in class with students and around our school. We have been without an evening custodian for a few weeks and everyone has pitched in to help keep Larson looking the best it can be. I am extremely proud of everyone at Larson; our staff and students truly exemplify Eagle Spirit, (Encouraging, Ambitious, Generous, Learning, Excelling) Every Day in Every way.

If you are interested in volunteering at Larson, we would love to have you. Please call or stop by the front office and we will help you with the paperwork.

Miss Lamont and Mrs. Taylor's kindergarten classes are hosting a Thanksgiving program for kindergarten parents and family members. The program will be on Wednesday, November 22nd at 2:00pm - 2:30pm in the gymnasium. We hope to see you there!

BREAK OUT THE GLUE GUNS! Join us on Friday, December 8th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm for our annual Title I Holiday Craft Night. Please stop by the gym while you are here to learn more about Title I at Larson! This is always a creative and fun event for the whole family. Some lucky winners will be going home with holiday turkeys and hams!

Come hear about all the AWESOME things that the FTA does for Larson Elementary! Get involved, meet new people, and have fun! Join us for the next FTA Meeting on November 8th at 4:15pm in the Larson Library.

The Lost and Found is OVERFLOWING! Please check it for missing items. It is located in the front entrance near the main door. There is also a Recess Lost and Found located in the breezeway by Room 101. Unclaimed items will be donated to local charities at the end of November.

Temperatures are dropping. Please send your student(s) to school with appropriate cold weather gear. They need hats, gloves, mittens, boots, snow-pants, and scarves for recess. Students go outside in weather as cold as -10 degrees! Please make sure all gear is clearly labeled with your student's name.

It's the end to Daylight Savings Time! On Sunday, November 5th, set your clocks back one hour.
