Attendance Matters

We are so excited with the great attendance rates for this past week! Beginning the last full week of January, we are keeping track of attendance by class. The class with the highest percentage of attendance earns the right to the traveling trophy for the week. I am looking so forward to announcing our winners on Monday morning! Please see the picture included for last week's winners - Ms. Large's class!

Girls on the Run is Back!

We are so excited to announce that Girls on the Run is back! Any girl in grades 3 & 4, regardless of skill level, is welcome to join. Please reach out to Ms. Job with any questions!

Recess & Weather Reminders

Please remember that we go outside for recess every day unless it is raining or below 12 degrees with the windchill. We are out for approximately 15-20 minutes. Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. If you need outdoor clothing for your child, please call the office to speak with our counselor or success coach.

Also, children MUST have boots and snow pants if they wish to play in the snow.

Appropriate School Shoes

Please make sure your child is wearing school appropriate shoes each day. All shoes need to have a back to them. Students are walking around the building, participating in PE, and on the playground and we want to make sure they are safe! Slippers, slides, etc. are not to be worn at school. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Springfield Volunteers

Interested in volunteering in the classroom, library, with special projects, or on a field trip? Please make sure you have an updated volunteer form on file. The forms are good for 3 years. You will also need to scan your license in the Springfield office prior to turning in your volunteer form.

Absences & Dismissal Plans

If your child is going to be absent, please call the office by 9:00 AM. If you do not reach someone, please leave a message.

Please remember to call by 1:30 if you have a change in dismissal plans - i.e. riding the bus instead of being picked up. After 1:30, we cannot guarantee that the student and teacher will be able to get the information.
