September 2023
Dear families,
We've had a fantastic start to the new school year, and I'm thrilled to share our achievements with you all. In these first two weeks back, we didn't just survive; we thrived!
One remarkable achievement deserving special recognition is our State Assessment results. As we enter September, we're stepping forward on the right foot, embracing a sense of celebration. Once again, our school has not only maintained its well-earned Performance rating from last year but has also witnessed a substantial increase in the percentage of students meeting or exceeding expectations in Spanish and English Language Arts, and Math, leading to an overall higher score. None of this could have been possible without our exceptionally dedicated teachers and our remarkable students for their extraordinary efforts. I am immensely proud of each and every one of them.
Our school year has kicked off on an incredibly positive note, and this success would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our amazing FAMILIAS. I am sure this school year will continue to bring lots of celebration and success. Our exceptional school is truly one-of-a-kind, and I am deeply grateful for our entire school community, which contributes to its incredible success.
I am looking forward to our partnership this school year. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for standing with us and for your continuous support.
Here we GROW and SOAR!
Ms. Anabel

West Hug and Go / Carril de llegada y despidida lado Oeste
East Hug and Go / Carril de llegada y despedida lado Este
Hug and Go
Students can be dropped off at 7:35 a.m.. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and can enter the building at 7:40 a.m. On Wednesdays, students can be dropped off at 7:50 a.m. and can enter the building at 8:45 a.m. Supervision is provided on Wednesdays.
The Hug and Go process in the morning is intended to be a quick and safe drop-off for students. Vehicles may not park or stand in the right-hand lane waiting for students to get out of the car or watching students walk to their destination. The parking lot is not to be used for general student drop-off. It is not a Hug and Go lane. Its use is reserved for vehicles that need to park and help their children get out of the car only. Students walking across the parking lot from these vehicles must cross the Hug and Go lanes at the crosswalk only.
To ensure the safety of all students, the following procedures for morning Hug and Go drop-off must be observed:
Enter the Hug and Go right-hand lane and pull as far forward as possible. Students should be ready to exit cars from the passenger side in the right-hand lane anywhere along the curb as soon as the line of traffic in that lane pauses.
Do not use the left-hand lane to get ahead of other cars for drop-off.
Students must exit vehicles on the passenger side ONLY.
Do not stop vehicles on the crosswalk.
Crossing guard directions must be closely followed by all drivers and walkers.
If a student cannot get him or herself out of the car quickly on a daily basis, please park in the parking lot and help them out. Do not use the Hug and Go lane.
If a student does not want to get out of the car on a particular day, please pull into the parking lot and park so that you can help them out and the Hug and Go lanes can keep moving.
Walkers from vehicles parked in the parking lot must only cross the Hug and Go lanes at the crosswalk.
STREET PARKING
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe.

Meet our new Health Para
Hello, my name is Elva Tellez and my background is in nursing! I am happy to announce that I will be the health aide here at Pioneer. I spent some time volunteering here at Pioneer last school year and I learned that I enjoyed being around kids. So, here I am!! I look forward to working with the students, staff, and family members this upcoming school year.
I was born and raised here in Colorado. I thank my parents for raising me bilingual and I am doing my best to pass it on to my kids. I live in Erie with my husband and kids. They go to school here at Pioneer and we absolutely love what this school has to offer and I'm excited to be here!
Mr. David
The Pioneer Library opened for classes and students the week of August 28.
Each class comes once a week for read-aloud, mini-lessons, and checkout.
I am excited to see the kiddos, share some books, and get everyone reading!
Save the dates: The first Scholastic Book Fair will be October 10-17.
