FREE photography for seniors by Kat Szmit
"In 2015, I started my new job at the Cape Cod Chronicle. A few weeks later the Class of 2020 entered MRHS as eighth graders. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know many of these amazing kids through sports and other activities and events. Along with them, I’ve been heartbroken at the loss of all they had been looking forward to. To help make things a little happier, I’m offering senior and family portraits AT NO COST. I will happily go wherever the graduate is living and take photos in caps and gowns, with family and standalone images of the graduates. Photos will be carefully edited to create print-worthy images, which I will upload to personal Google Drive folders for families to download. Again, AT NO COST. This is my gift to the Class of 2020." -Kat Szmit

ATHLETIC NEWS
This week is the last of our senior spotlights for our spring senior athletes. Great job by Athletics Interns Sean Gould and Emma Santoni for bringing them to us every week since March. I wish Emma and Sean the best of luck next year in college. They will be sorely missed in the athletic office.
On Tuesday June 2nd at 8:00pm our Senior Athlete Tribute will air on our YouTube chanel. The link will be sent out at 7:45pm on June 2nd via email to all students, and parents. It will also be posted on the MRHS website. We look forward to sharing that with you all and celebrating our senior athletes.
Have a peaceful Memorial Day Weekend!

SAILING
Sarah Blake & Lindsey Mellett
“For the past four years the sailing team has offered a fun, comfortable, and enthralling experience for the both of us. Through the freezing waters and chilling winds we’ve made so many incredible memories and friends that will last us a lifetime. Sailing is truly a team sport and we could not have done it without the support of our amazing coaches and teammates. Next year Lindsey will be taking part in the two year program through Cape Cod Community College, and Sarah will be attending Tulane University with a major in microbiology and musical theater.”
GOLF
Christiana Fontaine
Christiana has been golfing for the past three years. When she is not golfing she is playing basketball. She really enjoyed the time she had on the team and is sad to miss out on this season. Next year she will be attending Fitchburg State University to study Criminal Justice.
Olivia Hart
‘I started golfing in 8th grade when I joined the golf team. Before then I was someone who would always play soccer, softball, and a little basketball, but I decided it was time to try something new. At first I wasn’t sure I wanted to give golf a try, but I am so glad that I did! I made so many new friends and had tons of good times with the team; and now I can play yet another great sport! I am sad that the last season I had with the team got cancelled, but I am glad to be able to look back on all the fun and joy from the springs that I spent playing golf with friends.
Next year I am going to college. I have enrolled at College of the Holy Cross, and am excited to go there. However, I am on the waitlist at Harvard, so if I am accepted off the waitlist, I will definitely go there. At either place, I plan to join a club or intramural golf team to continue working on my golf skills and have more fun playing. I plan to major in biology and also follow a pre-med path so that after college, I can go to medical school to become a pediatric oncologist.
I will never forget my time at Monomoy Regional High School, and the memories of the Monomoy Girls Golf team.
To everyone on the girls golf team: I love and miss you all, and I hope to someday soon go out and play with you again!”
Lara McNeely
“I've been playing golf on and off since I was 9 years old. I joined the golf team in 10th grade which was my first year at Monomoy. Next year I will be going to Cape Cod Community College.”
