Message from Principal David Ewers
I hope you and your family had a relaxing break. I am excited to see our students again today and hope they are ready for a great final push towards the end of the semester. These final three weeks are incredibly important and we will be working as an admin team and school to communicate with guardians to make sure they know what their student needs to do to be successful. Please assist us in your student's success by stressing the importance of being to class on time, engaging in the lesson, and completing assignments in a timely manner.
Additionally, we are excited about the start of winter activities! Over the course of the next three weeks, our winter sports kick-off. We also have winter concerts and performances in choir, orchestra, band, and theatre. It's a jam-packed three weeks, but we are excited for the month of December!

Just a reminder from the yearbook staff. This is the last call for purchasing senior yearbook ads for the 2022 yearbook. You can purchase your ad at www.yearbookforever.com. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please contact yearbook adviser Becky Tate at 913-993-7012 or notate@smsd.org
Food Deliveries from Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. are not allowed at SM North. Please encourage your student to refrain from ordering food for delivery. YouScience – Parents and Students, YouScience is an aptitude and career discovery survey that all students will be completing by Thanksgiving Break. By completing the aptitude questions and career questions, students will be given personalized career matches that can help them when selecting possible high school programs to enroll in, job shadows, or internship programs. The results from YouScience are also used for invites to career expo events, field trips, and internships. With the list of possible career options that YouScience provides, students can also learn the pathway they can take to get into the career of their choice.
