Good Morning E.L.M. Families,

Happy Friday! It's hard to believe that October is arriving in just two days. As you all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so here's my yearly encouragement to get your mammograms and conduct your self-checks, and/or encourage your loved ones to do so. These important routines are truly life-saving to so many women.

News, Updates & Reminders:

* We kindly ask that you please call the office during the school day, if you have a change in how your student is going home. We are very busy during the day and will likely miss an email. Much appreciated, thank you.

* If you would still like to order school pictures, the order information and QR code are below. The password to enter is SCHOOLISCOOL1. All orders are due today. If you would like to schedule a retake or a have any questions about purchasing photos, please contact Sam Leja directly at samanthaleja3@gmail.com.

* The October menus and monthly calendar will be sent home today. They are also attached below.

* Ski Club - We are now in the beginning stages of planning for the ski club. Coach Facchetti will again be leading this activity for our students and Arleigh Cooper will be leading the fundraising effort this year. Arleigh is inviting everyone to a "virtual" meeting to discuss fundraising opportunities. The information to join the meeting is as follows:

We would also appreciate it if you could take the time to complete the Ski Club Survey below, letting us know of your interest in participating in the program.

Planning Ahead:

* We will be having our Halloween classroom parties on Friday, Oct. 27th, in the afternoon. Students will be allowed to bring their costumes and wear them during the party. We do have little ones here in the building, so please be sure that all costumes are appropriate for all ages and no weapons of any kind are allowed. We will also be supplying all of the classroom refreshments and drinks, so no need to send any from home. If you would like to send in candy treat bags for your child's classroom, you are welcome to do so, and they will be sent home with each student at the end of the day.

PTG & Loop Race Updates & Reminders:

* The next PTG meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 10th at 5:00pm. We welcome new members.

Health & Safety:

* Each household is eligible to receive four Covid tests. Please follow the link below if you are interested.
