Free Dress Days for Hurricane Recovery
We are offering students and staff the option to purchase 3 Free Dress Days this coming week to help Diocese of Venice Catholic Schools help their families with immediate needs, and to start repairing and rebuilding damaged Catholic schools following Hurricane Ian. See details at this link.
If you would like your student to participate, please send a minimum donation of $10 per student (cash or check to St. Eugene), and your student may wear Free Dress (or regular uniform) on Wednesday, Oct. 19th through Friday, Oct. 21st. It will be a little cooler next week, so dress for the weather, follow all Free Dress Guidelines, and make an effort to dress nicely for Thursday mass.

Time & Talent Ops!
Fall Workday - If mums, pumpkins, and yard work are your thing, join us for a fall campus workday! We have several areas around the church and school that need a spruce up. Sign up to help tidy and plant, or sign up to bring items to help make CSSE lovely for the fall! Workday will begin at 9am on Saturday, Oct. 22nd.
School Library Volunteer - There are also several opportunities to earn Time & Talent by helping with library tasks. Many tasks are flexible, and some can be done at home! Sign up if interested, and Mrs. Hattaway will contact you when an opportunity arises that may interest you.
Coach a CSSE Basketball Team - Our basketball season is starting up soon, and we need coaches! Please fill out the coaching form if you are interested in coaching or assisting with a team. If you do not yet have Safe Environment updated for this school year, please fill out the SE google form, and Jen Goodrich will get back to you with instructions.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - We need volunteers for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)! In order to provide this beautiful Montessori-based approach to religious education, we need volunteers to assist teachers in the Atrium (you do not need to be a trained catechist) and to help prepare materials for the children. Materials making will take place at 9:30am on the following Fridays in the Bride's Room of the Church: Oct. 28, Nov. 18, Dec 16 and into the second semester. Please contact Christie Ardoin if you can help in either capacity or for more information: goodshepherd@steugenes.org.
Green Team Sign Up - NEW DATE
Green Team will begin meeting one Thursday each month beginning October 27th! We will meet in the school library on October 27th from 3:00pm-4:15pm. Please sign up to attend! For safety purposes we must have your signup genius RSVP to attend each meeting.
Join us each month for different activities to help keep our earth green! October’s meeting will be an opportunity to clean up our campus with a fun Trash Scavenger Hunt!

New MS Girls Ministry!
BLAZE is a ministry specifically created for tween/teen girls by Walking with Purpose. The mission of BLAZE is to use Scripture to speak truth into the hearts of young girls who are bombarded by lies about their true worth and beauty.
Through the BLAZE “Belong” curriculum, girls will receive practical teaching in an engaging way –to help them navigate social media, identity issues, and the drama of friendships. Each lesson compares the lies of this world with the truth found in Scripture to strengthen girls’ emotional health and spiritual resilience.
Weekly gatherings will take place on Mondays from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m., starting October 24, 2022.
Sign up your 6th, 7th or 8th grade daughter for BLAZE or learn more by contacting JanneClare Garza & Krysta Ann Orscheln at blaze@steugenes.org or call Colleen de Keratry in the parish office at 405-751-7115. Cost is $60 and includes all materials (make checks payable to St. Eugene). Contact us if cost is an issue; we won’t let that stop a good thing!
Trunk or Treat!

Until all steps have been completed in the online training portal, employees and volunteers may not serve at the parish/school or organization. Please complete this google form to send in your name and email address to Jennifer Goodrich so that she can send you information to begin the process!
