I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! This Friday, 11/10, there is no school for Veteran's Day.

It is Admissions Season, for any of your friends of family that are interested in applying to AOC for the fall of 2024, they must attend a mandatory meeting. The zoom meetings begin this week. Parents must register to receive a link to the meeting. Please see this link for more information. In order to receive an application, they must attend one of the mandatory online information meetings.

Dear Academy of the Canyons Families,

We are so thankful for our teachers and staff at AOC! ROOTS, the PTA of the school, is planning a special Thanksgiving luncheon on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:50 AM to show our appreciation for all they do for our students. The luncheon will take place at AOC in the Staff Lounge. We ask that you prepare/purchase a lunch item on the list and drop it off on the table designated for drop off in the entrance of the school on November 15th. If your item is hot dish, please drop it off at 10:30 AM. If you are bringing a dessert/drinks, etc., please drop off it on the table designated for drop off in the entrance of the school anytime between 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. We will set up a lovely luncheon for all the teachers and staff to enjoy. If you wish to bring something not on the list, feel free to note it in the comments section to avoid duplicates.

AOC and WSHUHSD Thanksgiving Holiday is from 11/20-11/24.

COC Thanksgiving Holiday is only from 11/23-11/26.

You are expected to attend COC classes. We will see you back in school on Monday, 11/27! Have a great break!

Located on the campus of College of the Canyons, AOC is proud to be the middle college high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District serving students 9th-12th grades in the Santa Clarita Valley. Students have the opportunity to earn between 24 and 44 transferable college units, prior to receiving their high school diplomas. Upon graduation, the majority of Academy students pursue their post high school education by continuing at COC and completing their college transfer requirements in only one year after high school. Other AOC students go directly into a four-year university, bringing their community college units with them and placing themselves well into their freshman and sophomore years at the college level. While attending AOC as a high school student, community college tuition is waived for established California residents.
