The Patriot Update (1.11)
A Revere High School Community Newsletter

Sunday December 18th, 2022
Volume 1, Issue 11
Happy Sunday Patriots!
As we move into the week before Winter Vacation, I want to remind everyone that we have four weeks remaining in the first semester of the 2022-2023 school year. Students should make every effort to wrap up loose ends before taking the week off to relax with family and friends. In semester classes, credit is awarded based on the S1 grade. The last day of the first semester is Friday January 20th.
We encourage the entire Revere High Community to join our Community Meeting on Opioids and Fentanyl Monday 12/19 @ 6pm. This is an important opportunity for the entire community to learn more about substance use so that we can all engage with our adolescents about safe and informed decision-making. I hope to see many of you there!

MGH Youth Community Advisory Program and Peer Ambassador
Have you ever imagined yourself having a seat at the table, using your voice to impact change in your community? The Peer Ambassador and Youth Community Advisory Program at Massachusetts General Hospital is a youth-led effort to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in our local neighborhoods. If you are a local high school student passionate about health equity and interested in leading change, this is a great opportunity for you.
The program will run from January 25th to June 30th 2023. Meetings will run on Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. Ambassadors have the option to participate in our annual MGH Summer Jobs Program from July 10th to August 25th 2023. The program will be in-person with occasional virtual meetings.
