Kristen Martin-4th Grade Science
Colleges: I went to TCU for my undergrad in Education and then Dallas Theological Seminary for my Masters in Christian Education.
Teaching History: Fresh out of college I taught K-8th PE for a small private school in Fort Worth. I also coached Middle school and High school Volleyball, Soccer & Softball for a larger Private school. During this time I also split my time working for a church youth group. 2 years later I moved back to Dallas to pursue my masters. I coached and taught at Private schools in the area and a few years down the road I taught 4th grade and just fell in love with it. I went on to teach 6th grade social studies for 3 years at a charter school and then moved back to 4th grade focusing on math & science. This past summer I found Trivium and am so thankful that I did. Trivium fits my desire to reach and engage students where they are. I want each student to know that they matter and they have a great purpose in this life.
Family: I’ve been married to my husband Chris for 5 years and we have 2 extremely well loved dogs; Chaco a 9yr. Old Beagle and Sadie a 2 yr. Old German Shepherd.
Hobbies/Interest: I enjoy time at the Lake, the outdoors, movies, church and sports; especially TCU!

Flash Dash for Box Tops Cash!
Yes! It’s a tongue twister but it is exactly what it says!! We are having a flash collection for Box Tops. We have collected box tops already, and those WILL be included in the dash as well as all new box tops collected between Monday and Wednesday of next week. This is a grade level dash! Let me explain more...
What you need to know!
1. You can send cut-out (old style) box tops straight to your child’s teacher in Ziploc baggies, and I will collect them and make sure your grade level receives credit. Please label bag.
2. Electronic and digital submission (new this year!!) are collected by 2 steps – here is the info
a. Download the app for Box Tops for Education onto your smart phone
b. When you purchase products with the electronic box top logo
(the logo will be obvious), the cash register will automatically
load it onto your receipt (no need to cut or clip!)
c. Now, use the Box Top app to scan the bar code on your receipt. The app will walk you through the user-friendly process. It will ask you for the grade level and teacher for your student. Then, the app will allow you to scan your receipt. If this is confusing for you, please send your receipt to school with your child’s name at the top and I will scan it for you. Your child’s classroom will still receive credit.
3. THE PRIZE for the fast dash is an all grade level popcorn treat during lunch! (we will make sure that the numbers are proportionate to the grade level population, so every grade has a chance!)
If you have any confusion about our Flash Dash for Box Tops Cash, feel free to give me a call at the school. I teach as well, so if I am not available, I will get back to you ASAP!
