Where Learning Comes First
Principal's Post
Dear Head Community,
A big shout out to our wonderful and talented art teachers, Mrs. Dyson & Mrs. Patterson, for the impressive art work displayed at the Art Show.
We had fun dressing up this week - being a superhero and a crayon in one week can only happen in an elementary school. Any time we celebrate reading, it makes me happy, because reading makes you smarter!
Thanks to those of you who walked and rolled to school with me on Tuesday. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Each year, the Georgia Council for Exceptional Children hosts an Exceptional Children's Week (ECW) to provide a time for schools, districts, and educators to come together to acknowledge and celebrate students with exceptionalities.
Friday, March 17, is a Digital Learning Day (DLD) for all students. On scheduled DLDs, students access lessons in eCLASS and/or Google Classroom but do not have virtual class time with their teachers.
To ensure that students have a nutritious breakfast and lunch to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by School Nutrition Program staff.
Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.
Connecting With the Community
Brookwood Schools Foundation Fund-Raiser- 2 Ways to Help!
Are you game? Tickets to the Brookwood Schools Foundation Casino Night are now available! Visit www.BrookwoodSchools.org to get them for $100. What a fun way to support our awesome cluster of schools!
Even if you can't attend Casino Night, you can still help raise funds! Head Elementary will be auctioning off a basket during this event. We are putting together a "Spring Flowers" basket. We could use donations for anything that might go with this theme! (gift cards to places like Home Deport or Family Tree, new gardening tools, seed packets, cute garden decor, etc). The more items we get donated, the more money we can raise!
Remember, all foundation funds all go back to the local schools in the form of teacher grants!
Taste of Brookwood
