Hawk Happenings!

I hope that you are enjoying the summer. Since we are starting back to school after Labor Day this year, we moved up our Back to School BBQ...It is THIS SATURDAY! We also decided to get together and beautify the campus before the kids return. You can knock those volunteer hours out. :) Feel free to bring extra guests to help us pull weeds, shovel and rake play bark chips, clean windows, and do other things to make our campus shine for the start of the year! We also need people to bring rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows for our 8 yards of bark. We may even need help with putting a little furniture together, so bring some tools if you have them.

After we beautify the campus, we will celebrate the start of the school year with a family bbq. Thank you to the Sandifer-Juarez Family for grilling again this year. The school is providing hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, paper plates, condiments, napkins, and plastic "silverware". We need families to bring the following, based on your last name:

Family last name:

• A thru I =Beverages (bottled water, bottled Gatorade, Capri suns, can sodas)
• J thru Q = Snacks/Treats (chips, baked desserts, treats)
• R thru Z = Sides/Salads (fresh fruit/veggies, garden, pasta/potato , fruit salads)

Note: Bring your own chairs (and reusable plates and cutlery to save the planet )

We will be in the back of the school this year, since the play structure is ready to go. We hope to see you there!! If you have questions, please contact Berenice in the front office.

DETAILS:

• Saturday, August 17th
• Work Party: 9 am - 1pm (Bring gloves, shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows, or just yourself!)
• BBQ: 1 pm - 3pm (Bring an item listed above)

**Feel free to bring your food early (if you are coming to the work party) and we can put it in the refrigerator for you.
