Monday Memo
We Are Family - September 27, 2021
We have a small adjustment to our calendar that I would like to draw your attention to. Instead of 1 PM dismissals on various days throughout the year, we will dismiss at 1:20 PM instead starting on October 15th. Although there are not many of these days throughout the year, this will ensure that we are in compliance with state rules regarding instructional time. This will not apply to parent-teacher conferences on October 13th and 14th.
We have several events scheduled in October and November - check out the Upcoming Events section to update your calendars! We were not able to have our Ritter visit and assembly last week due to cold, rainy weather. We will work on getting this rescheduled soon.
The October menu is attached in the links below.
Have a great week Spartans!
God bless,
Janet Abdoulaye, Principal

Support Mrs. Huther in the October Buddy Walk
The Huther Family will be walking in the Buddy Walk this year to support Down Syndrome of Indiana.
From Mrs. Huther: Caroline is a six year old who loves Kindergarten, bacon, and her Barbies. I could not image our family with out our Sweet Caroline.
I'm involved in the Buddy Walk® to support people with Down syndrome in my community. Please support my efforts as an advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
For every step I take and every dollar I raise, I am helping to create a culture that fully includes the more than 400,000 Americans with Down syndrome. Last year, more than $12.1 million dollars was raised by more than 305,000 Buddy Walk® participants worldwide.
Your support for the Buddy Walk®, either by walking with me or by making a donation, will help honor and celebrate people with Down syndrome.

Students may be referred to Ms. Evans by teachers or the principal for a one-time visit. After that, parents must complete an consent form for continued visits. The consent form is available at the end of the Monday Memo or in the school office. You can reach Ms. Evans directly at kevans@saintsusanna.com

Easy Fund-Raising for Saint Susanna Catholic School!
Box Tops for Education
Here’s how it works:
- Step 1: Download the new Box Tops App (iTunes or Google Play) – it’s free
- Step 2: Create a username and connect it to your child’s school
- Step 3: Scan your grocery store receipt. Items with the new Box Tops label will be automatically credited to your school
Does this mean I should stop sending in my paper Box Tops that I have already clipped? No! Continue to send those to the school!
