From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone is safe and sound this week. We are definitely in the beautiful state of Alaska. With the uncertainty of the weather conditions, please be mindful of the Anchorage School District notifications as well as email notifications from me and the staff here at EACS to stay abreast of any changes to school days.
Thank you for your flexibility as school has been remote for students. We anticipate getting back into the building for in-person learning. Until then, please check in with your teacher for attendance purposes. Please have your child(ren) complete the remote learning assignments to parctice the skills that they are learning in the classroom.
As always, we are appreciative of your support and hard work. Be safe and see you very soon!
Your Principal,
Lynn Mills
Front Office Flow
Parents,
Middle school elective forms will be going out soon. They will be due Friday, December 1, 2023. Please be on the lookout for this form. Also, all 8th graders will need to take Health as a course for the second semester. If you have any question, please contact the office.
Gratitude
Thank you to the Fleetwood Family! They provided the wonderful Veterans' Day observance packets for all of our students here at EACS. Mr. Fleetwood would like the flags returned to school to make a bulletin board of the great Veterans that we hold so very dear to our hearts. I am anticipating great participation as we honor those who have served in the military to protect our freedoms and lives. Again, thank you Fleetwood family!
Red Ribbon Week Success
Amazing job to staff, students and families for your support in the Red Ribbon Week celebration! Thank you Nurse Jan and AA Kari. Your Rock!

Inclement Weather
'Tis the Season
Temperatures will be starting to drop. We go outside (weather permitting, to 10 degrees below zero) for recess every day. Students who do not have their gear will not be able to play at recess. Please, please, please send your student(s) to school with appropriate winter outerwear. This means:
- warm coat
- winter hat
- mittens or gloves
- scarves
- snow pants
- boots
It is always a good idea to mark your child’s name on all items. You would be surprised how many pairs of black snow pants we get!
