Dear Cirby Families,
Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope each of you had a restful and joyful winter break filled with moments of relaxation and connection with loved ones. As we embark on the second half of the school year, let's take a moment to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and staff during the first semester. From academic achievements to artistic endeavors, our school has seen tremendous growth and success. Congratulations to all our students for their hard work and dedication.
Here are just a few simple reminders to kick off 2024 on the right foot! Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date with the school office. Encourage your child to stay engaged and focused on their studies as we enter the second semester and check our school website and social media channels for the latest news and updates.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. I am confident that together we will make the second half of the school year just as successful and enriching as the first. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the school office.
Wishing you a fantastic start to 2024!
Warmly,
Farah Friend | Principal

Please meet Mrs. Friend!
Hi everyone! Here's a little bit about me. I was a teacher for 20 years and taught grades 2-6. Then I was an assistant principal for 3 years and now the principal at Cirby for the last 2 years. My husband is also a teacher. He's in his 22nd year teaching 5th grade! I have five children. My son is 21 and is a firefighter in the Air Force. I have two 17 year old daughters and two 14 year old daughters. All four girls attend West Park High School. They are involved in softball, art, cheer, and wrestling. We are a very busy family. I enjoy going to yoga, running, and traveling. I'm so excited to be at Cirby and truly thankful for this opportunity!
