Noticing as a Tool of Encouragement
Noticing helps to encourage children in a way that makes their accomplishment their own rather than making it about us. Noticing provides a play-by-play description of the action and sounds like this: “You did it! You ____!” or “Good for you!
Encouragement and noticing are about accepting children for who they are. Acceptance shows unconditional love or love that makes no demands.

Remember:
Transitions:
Please use the playroom before and after class as time for your child to transition to/from the classroom. The benefits of transitioning children into/from an activity is that it helps them understand the event and allows them time to adapt to the change, which can reduce and prevent tantrums.
Cleaning Up
We also ask parents and children to help clean up after class and open play. This teaches your child to value their environment and helps them learn skills they will use for the rest of their lives.
