Learning About New Diwali in Ms. O'Connell's 2nd Grade Class
Ms. O'Connell's 2nd Grade Class had two parents come into their classroom and introduce the students to New Diwali since they have been learning about Ancient India. New Diwali, the festival of lights, is being celebrated on October 24th. The special guest parents introduced a craft called rangoli to the students and gave them clay diyas and candles to take home to introduce and celebrate the holiday with each of their families. It was a really great experience for the students they enjoyed it very much.
Graduating Class of 2023!
Parents, each year we put together a slideshow video of our 8th graders and show it at graduation. We are asking that you please fill out this form in order to submit a baby/young child photo of your 8th grader and a current photo of them to be shared at graduation. If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Brooks at rbrooks@cherrycreekacademy.org.
Veterans Day at Cherry Creek Academy
As a part of our Veterans Day Assembly, scheduled for November 11, 2022 at 8 am, we would like to honor the brave people in our community who have served or are currently serving in the military. To include a member of the military to be honored during our assembly please share their name and the branch of the military they served in or are currently serving in, an optional picture, and bio or information about their time serving in the link below. Thank you for your participation. This year we will invite those Veterans, as well as families of students and members of our community to our school to join us for our in person assembly.
